Drew and Susan are getting ready to head off to a couple of different conferences this week.
Drew is attending and presenting at the E-ATP conference in Madrid, Spain. He will be participating in a Transforming Assessment Debate on whether or not Artificial Intelligence (AI) can take over the assessment process. They will be discussing the role of AI in the assessment process and discussing whether AI can begin to take over key assessment design responsibilities, such as job analysis.
We look forward to providing feedback to the assessment community on these questions, as well as other complex issues regarding AI, when Drew returns.
Susan is attending and presenting at the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) conference in Chicago, IL this week. She is presenting with Dr. Wilma Larsen and Dr. Pooja Shivraj on the subject, “Advancing from a Topic-level to a Task-based Content Outline for Exam Design. The purpose of this session is to describe how practice analysis approaches can be leveraged to create detailed content outlines, show how one medical board approached this challenge, and present a validation framework for evaluating the process and outcomes of a practice analysis. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, September 24 at 4:00 PM in the Lincoln room (floor 3).
